Radon Testing

Radon

Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that forms when elements like uranium break down in soil, rock, and groundwater. Because it comes from the earth, radon can enter homes through cracks and openings in the foundation and build up in the indoor air.

Most people are exposed to small amounts of radon every day, but elevated levels inside a home can be a concern. The only way to know if radon is present at higher levels is to test for it.

If your home hasn’t been tested, it’s a good idea to do so. Even if high levels are found, radon mitigation systems are very effective and can reduce the levels to an acceptable range.

Radon testing is available for an additional fee and is not included as part of a standard home inspection.
