General Home Inspections

General Home Inspections

A general home inspection is a non-invasive objective visual examination of the physical structure and systems of a house, from the roof to the foundation. On average, a single-family home inspection usually takes 3 hours to complete, though this is heavily dependent on the the size and condition of the home. After the inspection process, a detailed inspection report that covers the inspection findings will be generated, complete with pictures, analysis and recommendations. General home inspections are conducted for home buyers and sellers as well as home owners who are looking for direction on annual maintenace and general upkeep.

The home inspection report will cover the condition of the home's heating system; central air conditioning system (temperature permitting); interior plumbing system; electrical system; the roof, attic and visible insulation; walls, ceilings, floors, windows and doors; and the foundation, basement and structural components. AHI provides very detailed reporting. All major appliances are checked for recalls through RecallChek and is included with every general home inspection.
